[Watch] Pope Francis Funeral In Pics; Trump, Zelensky, Draupadi Murmu Join Mourners at Vatican

Vatican: From Donald Trump, Volodymyr Zelensky, Prince Williams to Droupadi Murmu several global leaders  attended the funeral of Pope Francis at St. Peter Square in Vatican. Germany’s President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Italian President Sergio Mattarella, and Argentina’s President Javier Milei also attended the funeral Mass on Saturday.

The funeral began at 1.30 pm (IST). More than 200,000 people are attending the ceremony in the vast square in front of St Peter’s Basilica. So far, around 50 heads of state have been confirmed as attending, including 10 reigning monarchs.

President Draupadi Murmu was seated next to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy during Pope Francis’ funeral.

Private meeting between Ukrainian Prez and Trump

According to the White House, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump met privately. They had a “very productive discussion”, BBC reported.

The meeting took place inside St Peter’s Basilica after they paid their respects to the Pope, Italy’s Rai TV reported. This was their first meeting since the tense encounter in the Oval Office at the end of Feb. During the last meeting, Zelensky was accused of failing to properly thank the US for its aid to Ukraine.
