The President along with First Lady Savita Kovind had offered prayers at Jagannath Temple in Puri on the last day of his three-day visit to Odisha in March last year.
Puri: President Ram Nath Kovind will be scheduled to arrive in the pilgrim town on two-day visit, starting February 19.
As per the itinerary released by the President’s Office, Kovind will arrive in a helicopter at the helipad in the town at 3.25 pm on February 19. From the helipad, he will directly go to a hotel. He will go to Jagannath temple to have darshan of the deities at around 5 pm.
On February 20, the President is scheduled to visit the Shri Chaitanya Gaudiya Mutt along the Grand Road and attend a special function there.
From the mutt, the President will leave for the programme commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Srila Bhaktisidhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupada at Saradhabali ground. In the afternoon, Kovind will return to Bhubaneswar.
This is the third visit of President Kovind to the Piligrim Town so far. The district administration has already begun preparation for the President’s visit.

Senior police officials, led by Central Range IG of Police Narasingha Bhola and SP Kanwar Vishal Singh reviewed security arrangements in the town ahead of the visit
The police officials visited Chaitanya Gaudiya Mutt, Srimandir and the Saradhabali ground to examine the security arrangements.
