New Delhi: She was spotted at London airport yesterday, leading to speculation that Priyanka Chopra was headed to India for cousin Parineeti’s engagement ceremony.

On Saturday morning, the ‘Citadel’ star was, indeed, back to her home country following her visit about six weeks back, when daughter Malti Marie and husband Nick Jonas accompanied her.

No prizes for guessing that Priyanka landed at Delhi’s IGI airport today in a smart casual attire to attend Parineeti and Raghav Chadha’s engagement.

This time, Priyanka has come along, and it’s likely to be a short visit before she flies back to the US.

“Priyanka has a very busy calendar right now with movie promotions in Hollywood. But she has taken two days off to fly down for Parineeti and Raghav’s engagement,” India Today quoted a source as saying.

Watch the video clip of Priyanka’s arrival as shared on social media by Viral Bhayani:

The romance between the Bollywood actress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP started blooming earlier this year. The duo was seen going out on lunch and dinner dates, and also attended IPL matches.

They still haven’t officially acknowledged their relationship, with Chadha often saying that he would rather answer questions on ‘rajneeti’ than Parineeti. But as it turns out, it wasn’t a well-kept secret.

The engagement ceremony will take place in central Delhi’s Kapurthala House, and will be attended by the duo’s families and close friends.

Parineeti will be wearing a Manish Malhotra ensemble while Raghav has opted for a sherwani designed by his maternal uncle, Pawan Sachdeva.

In an interview with HT, Sachdeva had said,

“Raghav prefers to keep it minimal and classy, so I haven’t done any kind of work on the achkan. I have added a subtle hint of colour with the blush pink lining inside the achkan and a pocket square in the same hue. He wanted something very simple, so I focused on cuts, a great fit and beautiful textures,” Sachdeva told Hindustan Times.
