Bhubaneswar: The October 26 episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 12 saw the host Amitabh Bachchan asking a question on Odisha sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik to Shruti Singh, a professor in Microbiology.
THE QUESTION
Which Padma Shri awardee made this sand art ahead of the Namaste Trump event in Feb 2020?
The unsure contestant, however, went for the ‘flip the question’ option.
Explaining the significance of the sand art on Puri beach, Amitabh said that the acclaimed sand artist had created the sculpture featuring Trump and First Lady Melania with Taj Mahal in the backdrop on February 23 to welcome the US President, a day ahead of his two-day visit to India.
Sudarshan had also created another sand art with Donald Trump alongside the flags of the US and India and a note ‘Swagatam’, the same day.
Dan Scavino, Assistant to the President, had retweeted this sand art with a thank you note.
The inaugural visit of the US President included a 22-km roadshow leading from Ahmedabad airport to Motera Stadium.
