Kangra: Heavy rains resulted in a railway bridge collapsing in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday.
A viral video shows the Chakki bridge in Himachal’s Kangra district coming crashing down after one of its three pillars was badly damaged by continuous downpour in the state.

Schools have been closed in Kangra, Kullu and Mandi districts because of heavy rainfall.
A cloudburst in Dharamshala resulted in landslides in the area, while a flash flood in Mandi district in the early hours of Saturday morning led to water entering houses and shops. Residents were trapped and vehicles damaged.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall today and tomorrow in Kangra, Chamba, Bilaspur, Sirmaur and Mandi districts.
Himachal’s disaster management department has issued a landslide warning in the state till August 25.
Tourists and local people have been advised to avoid going near rivers and streams till bad weather persists.
