[Watch] Rajasthan Youth Strangled To Death For Refusing To Holi Colours

Dausa: A 25-year-old man in Rajasthan was allegedly strangled to death in Dausa district as he refused to be smeared with Holi colours, reports claimed. The deceased was identified as Hansraj, who was preparing for a competitive examination at a library when the incident took place. On Wednesday, Ralwas village residents Ashok, Bablu and Kaluram reached the local library to apply colour on Hansraj.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dinesh Agarwal told PTI that the trio allegedly kicked and thrashed Hansraj with belts when he stopped them from applying colours on him.

One of the accused strangled Hansraj to death, ASP Agarwal stated. The family members of the deceased and villagers staged a protest following the incident with Hansraj’s body. They reportedly blocked the national highway in the area and demanded compensation of ₹50 lakh for Hansraj’s family, besides immediate arrest of the accused. Later, they were pacified by police who assured them of taking appropriate action.
