Mumbai: The countdown has begun for the release of late actor Rishi Kapoor’s last film ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’.
The makers of the movie are leaving no stone unturned to spread the message about the film which Rishi couldn’t complete as he lost a two-year battle with cancer in April 2020.
As his son Ranbir Kapoor revealed, he had thought of using prosthetics to fill in for his dad’s character and shoot the remaining part, but it did not work out. It was eventually Paresh Rawal who took over the title role to complete the film.
The film’s producer Farhan Akhtar shared a special message by Ranbir on Instagram, where the latter recalls his father falling sick during the shoot of the film.
Ranbir goes on to say what makes ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ a very special film. The much-awaited film will be released on Amazon Prime Video on March 31.
