Ahmedabad: A power-packed performance by AR Rahman and his team, combined with the energetic show by Ranveer Singh set the stage on fire at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Motera, here on Sunday evening ahead of the IPL final between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals.
The capacity crowd at the world’s biggest cricket stadium swayed to the tunes of Jai Ho and Rang De Basanti.
Bollywood superstar Ranveer, in a typically flamboyant and jazzy attire, joined centrestage and amped up the energy levels by a few notches with a high-octane dance performance to some of his popular numbers.
Ranveer, a keen sports enthusiast who is often spotted at IPL games, was seen giving a high-five to Rajasthan spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. The entertainer par excellence then took a lap around the stadium, sending fans crazy as decibel levels went through the roof.
His KGF number was a huge hit among the audience of close to 1 lakh.
“Have a great game. God bless you all. Jai Ho,” Rahman said as he brought the show to a close, leaving the stage for cricketers.
