Mumbai: Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan in his latest video has urged people to follow the lockdown guidelines strictly and cooperate with doctors, police, and bank employees, among others, to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The actor is currently living in his Panvel farmhouse with his family members. In his 10-minute video message, he slammed the Moradabad stone pelting incident and said, “This is surprising! Doctors and Nurses are saving your lives and you are pelting them with stones.”

Expressing discontentment over the way people are flouting the guidelines, Khan said that if they had taken the outbreak seriously and followed necessary precautions, the restrictions would have been lifted by now. “But many people think that they won’t be infected and this leads to the community transmission of the virus,” he said.

The actor urged people to wear masks and gloves while stepping out of their homes, and respect those who are infected by the deadly virus.

He concluded with the struggle of the poor for food and took a jibe at ‘Covidiots’, who put others at the risk of contracting the infection.

The Dabang-actor is also financially helping 25,000 daily wage workers from the film industry amid the lockdown.
