Ghaziabad: Six persons, including two children, died while two others were critically injured when a school bus collided with an SUV car on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway in Ghaziabad in the early hours of Tuesday.
“A school bus and an SUV met with an accident on the Delhi Meerut Expressway at 6 am today. There was a head-on collision. Six persons died and 2 are seriously injured. The dead include 2 children,” ANI quoted Ramanand Kushwaha, ADCP Traffic Police as saying.
The school bus, which did not have any passengers at the time of the accident, was coming from the wrong direction on the expressway after filling CNG from Delhi near Ghazipur and rammed into the SUV, carrying eight passengers, heading towards Gurugram, Haryana. The driver of the bus, belonging to Bal Bharti School in Noida, has been arrested.
