Bhubaneswar: Shah Rukh Khan has fans in every nook and cranny of the world. Countless artists have made his portraits as Jawan on walls, in sand and on canvas. Closer home, Rahul Patra, living in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district has also painted a mural of the superstar.
A software engineer by profession who works in Bengaluru and a passionate artist, Rahul has painted a 10×6 portrait of SRK on the wall of a cashew nut mill in Pradhaniguda. His three days of labour paid off because King Khan himself responded to Rahul’s art on social media.
Another SRK fan, Aditya shared the video and wrote ‘It is unbelievable how talented people are.’ SRK saw the video and thanked Rahul while sharing it, playing upon the name Rahul, which is identified with SRK’s screen name.
“Thank you so much for this video Rahul…Naam to suna hi hai. You are very talented my man. Fantastic artwork. Love u,” Shah Rukh wrote.
Rahul’s joy literally knew no bounds when he learnt that the star he admired so much had heaped praises on him. His parents, both of whom are teachers, were elated too.
