[Watch] Sit-Ups To Punish ‘COVIDIOTS’ Amid Lockdown In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In the battle against COVID-19, police have been tasked to tighten the noose around ‘COVIDIOTS’, a term coined for those flouting restrictions during the lockdown period, as people continue to step out for ‘non-essential’ activities.

To drive home the point, the violators are being made to squat on the road, do sit-ups and pose with pamphlets admitting their fault.

In Bhubaneswar, police stopped four youths, who were vrooming about on their bikes, at Vani Vihar Square and made them to do sit-ups.

The Commissionerate Police have put up barricades at major traffic junctions and deployed personnel across the city to check such violations. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had earlier appealed to people to stay indoors and not let the virus into their house.
