Cuttack: Ahead of the historic Bali Jatra, a unique pre-festival programme has kicked off in Odisha’s millennium city of Cuttack to make the much-awaited event on the banks of the Mahanadi clean, green and attractive.
As preparations are going on in full swing for the Bali Jatra beginning on November 8, a host of programmes showcasing the state’s folk art, dance and rich culture have been organised by the district administration in the run up to the mega festival.

A large number of workers from different departments and agencies are working round-the-clock for the festival and the ongoing programme will encourage and motivate them in a big way, the Collector said.
“People must understand the value of the hard work put in by these workers. They should respect their labour and ensure that the festival venue remains clean and green,” Chayani said.
