Bhubaneswar: Showing exceptional alertness, personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) deployed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar saved the life of a staff of the baggage screening system.
As per sources, the CISF personnel responded swiftly when a staff member of ILHBSS (In-line Hold Baggage Screening System) suddenly fell sick and collapsed while on duty.
The CISF personnel displayed alertness and quick action by promptly administering CPR on the ILHBS staff member when he fainted at the screening point.
Aster some time, the screening system staff member regained consciousness and he was shifted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar by an ambulance for further medical treatment.
Sharing the information in a post on X, CISF said the swift response by Dimple Kumar, assisted by D P Gupta, helped save a precious life. Their courageous act was highly appreciated by a doctor present at the spot, who lauded CISF’s professionalism and emergency response.
