Mumbai: In exactly one year’s time, Shah Rukh Khan will turn a senior citizen. But the advancing years have failed to dent his popularity among millions of followers in India and beyond.
Even The Academy, which presents the Oscar Awards, seems to be in awe of the Bollywood badshah’s charisma.
In a fine gesture to mark his 59th birthday, The Academy posted a video on Instagram featuring one of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic scenes in his much-loved film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’.
In the heartwarming scene, Jaya Bachchan is seen performing puja when her son Shah Rukh lands outside in a helicopter and runs towards the house. Jaya walks towards the gate to receive Shah Rukh in a poignant moment.
“A mother’s intuition is always right,” reads the accompanying caption.

“Is this SRK’s best entry scene?” The Academy asked users in the comments section.
Directed by Karan Johar, the 2001 blockbuster ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ also features Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan in important roles.
In January, The Academy had uploaded the ‘Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna’ song sequence from Shah Rukh’s evergreen romantic film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, co-starring Kajol.
