Angul: Wishes continue to pour in for Soumya Ranjan, who achieved 306 rank in the country in the UPSC Civil Service Examinations 2021, the results of which were declared on Monday.
A resident of Pallahara in Angul district, Soumya had cleared OAS earlier and worked hard to achieve his dream of becoming an IAS.
Talking about why he opted for UPSC after clearing OAS, Soumya said “clearing OAS was a confidence-building exercise and that helped in brushing up my preparations and understanding subjects more clearly.”
Sharing his success mantra, Soumya said “one should work step by step towards achieving a goal. Prepare from the basics, understand and then go ahead gradually to complete the entire course. Take the help of mentors and be thorough with papers.”
Son of a professor father and housewife mother, Soumya said it was his grandfather’s dream to see him qualify in UPSC and he is proud to have achieved it.
