Dhenkanal: Jayapurakateni panchayat under Parajang block in Dhenkanal district has been declared a micro-containment zone for 10 days from Friday.
The panchayat was sealed after 87 persons tested COVID positive.
Of total, 82 were tested positive from Jayapurakateni village, four from Sundi Kateni and one is from Padmapokhari village under the panchayat.
Sub-collector Bishnu Prasad Acharya, Parajang BDO Basant Kumar Mallick, Tehsildar Jayant Kumar Jayasingh and CDPO Mamatamanjari Deo have been creating awareness to take precautions for COVID-19 and asking people not to go out of home unnecessarily.
