[Watch] Tiger Shark Mauls & Gobbles Up Tourist In Front Of His Father

Cairo: In a ghastly incident, a Russian tourist was mauled to death and gobbled up by a massive tiger shark at an Egyptian beach.

The 23-year-old man, identified as Vladimir Popov, was on a swim and had ventured deep into the sea at the popular resort of Hurghada when the unthinkable happened.

People at the beach watched in horror as Popov realised the danger but was eventually helpless in his defence against the hungry beast.

A viral video shows the man screaming ‘Papa’ for his father as the shark tried repeatedly to pull him under water. After some moments, the man loses the uneven battle as is evident from the water turning red.

Popov’s horrified father watched the fatal attack from the shore, unable to help his desperate son.

Popov’s distraught girlfriend managed to escape, The Daily Mail reported.

The incident, which was filmed from the shore, showed the terrible mishap clearly.

The shark was later caught and killed on the beach.
