Mumbai: The trailer of the much-awaited comedy-drama, Badhaai Do, starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar was released on Tuesday.
A sequel to the National Award-winning Badhaai Ho, Badhaai Do is about two people who get into a marriage of convenience to hide their sexual orientation. Bhumi plays Suman Singh, a 31-year-old physical education teacher, who is interested in women. She marries Shardul Thakur, a cop played by Rajkummar, to escape the pressure of their families. They decided to stay like roommates but trouble ensues when Sumi’s girlfriend comes to stay with them and things get further complicated when their families begin to pressure them to have a baby.
In the last scene of the trailer, Rajkummar’s sexual orientation is also revealed.
The film will hit the theatres on February 11.
