Bhubaneswar: The trailer of Ollywood queen Varsha Priyadarshini’s movie ‘Nimki, Nimpur Ru Naveen Nibas’ has garnered over 9000 views since its release on Wednesday evening.
Varsha, who will be back on silver screen after two-year break, essays the titular role in this women-centric movie, which depicts the journey of a girl from a village to the Odisha capital.
She was last seen opposite Arindam in ‘Romeo Juliet’ released in 2017.
Earlier speaking to Odisha Bytes, Varsha had said that her character in the film was different what she had played so far. “Having been in the industry for more than a decade and played a variety of roles, I feel it is time to concentrate on women-centric movies.”
The actor had earlier shed her glamorous look to portray a girl, struggling with obesity, in ‘Chhati Tale Ding Dong’ released in 2016.
Written and directed by Susant Mani, ‘Nimki’ has music by Prem Anand while the dialogues have been penned by Dillip Choudhury. The film has been produced by the actor herself in association with ‘Prelude’ with Subhashree Films as associate producer.
Besides Varsha, the film features Ashrumochan Mohanty, Chittaranjan Tripathy, Trupti Sinha, Rahul, Linkon, Sagarika, Pranab, Rashmi and Aswini.
Both the director and producer of the movie hope that audience will love the movie.
