Mumbai: Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma on Friday launched a campaign to raise funds for COVID-19 relief work in the country.
The power couple aims to raise Rs 7 crore for the campaign #InThisTogether and donated Rs 2 crore for it, they said in a joint video statement posted on social media.
Kohli and Anushka expressed concern at the grim COVID situation in India and shared details of a fundraiser.
In a separate tweet, Anushka wrote, “As our country battles the second wave of Covid-19, and our healthcare systems are facing extreme challenges, it breaks my heart to see our people suffering. So, Virat and I have initiated a campaign #InThisTogether, with Ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief.”
Virat also tweeted about the campaign and added, “…We would be grateful for your support. Let’s all come together and help those around us in need of our support.”
