Colombo: Virat Kohli is a relaxed man on the cricket field these days.
Ever since he turned around his fortunes after a two-year lean patch, Kohli has been enjoying his cricket. The results are there for all to see in terms of runs – the fifties and hundreds are flowing again.
Even when he is not part of the playing XI, Kohli is trying to be involved with the action and having fun.
With India having already sealed a berth in Sunday’s Asia Cup title clash against hosts Sri Lanka, the final Super 4 game between India and Bangladesh on Friday became inconsequential. The team management decided to rest a few regulars, including Kohli, for the ‘dead rubber’.
Not to be kept out, the batting maestro chose to become the team’s ‘water boy’ during the drinks break.
Rohit Sharma won the toss again and, for a change, chose to bowl first. The Indian pacers struck early blows, and after the fall of Bangladesh’s third wicket — in the form of Anamul Haque — Kohli was seen rushing to the ground with refreshments for his teammates.
Not only were the fans surprised to see the senior pro carrying drinks, it was his style of running that left people at the ground, TV viewers and netizens in splits.

Bangladesh were reduced to 59/4, and then 193/7 before posting an impressive 265/8 in their 50 overs, thanks to skipper Shakib Al Hasan’s 80, Towhid Hriday’s 54 and Nasum Ahmed’s 44.
