Hooghly: Residents of a town in West Bengal experienced some terrifying moments in broad daylight when an elephant went on rampage in broad daylight.
A video shared on social media shows massive commotion near a shop as a wild elephant charges forward. Panic-stricken citizens and a cow run for their lives, an auto makes a hasty retreat as the jumbo hauls down a motorbike and kicks a bicycle parked outside the store.
The bike rider and another lady standing beside it are seen rushing inside the shop.
The video, posted on Fun Viral Vids Twitter handle, has gone viral, garnering 2 million views and counting.
Watch the incident, which was witnessed in Hooghly district’s Arambagh:
Netizens saw a funny side to it, with some of them comparing the video clip to the film 1995 American fantasy adventure film ‘Jumanji’, directed by Joe Johnston.
There’s a lot going on right there. Looks like the opening scene of a Tarantino movie!
“Welcome to Jumanji Movie 🤣!!” commented one user.
“Looking like jumanji up in that town,” wrote another.
A third person felt “It was wise to give him the right of way.”
