Angul: A youth allegedly attempted to jump off the third floor of the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Odisha’s Angul on Wednesday.
According to sources, the youth climbed the hospital building with the help of a 60-feet-long pipeline. He then tried to jump from there. Some sweepers noticed him and informed the hospital authorities.
On being informed, the Fire Department personnel reached the spot and reached him through a skylight. It took them almost two hours to get him down, sources said.
The youth is reportedly suffering from mental illness.
