Sambalpur: The water level of Hirakud dam in Odisha has gone up after heavy rainfall in the upper catchments of Mahanadi under the influence of a depression.
The water level rose up to 607.97 feet against its optimum height of 630 feet by 10 am on Friday, according to the dam authorities.
The inflow and outflow of floodwaters from the dam were 1.90 lakh cusecs and 6,000 cusecs per second, respectively.
