Puri: Cremation at Swargadwar in Odisha’s pilgrim town of Puri has been made hassle-free with the district administration introducing the system of online registration for the purpose. People need not wait for hours to make registration for the cremation of the body.
According to sources, the district administration of Puri launched a website – https://swargadwar.com/ – on the occasion of Diwali providing all services available at Swargadwar in the holy town.
The necessary information regarding Swargadwar is available in Odia, Hindi and English.
People will be able to avail the services to cremate the bodies of their near and dear ones by uploading all necessary data through the dedicated website. The Swargadwar Sanskar Sevaks, who are available to help those visiting Swargadwar for cremation, will be provided financial assistance, sources said.
The website has been launched on a trial basis and will be modified as per the requirement. This apart, the Swargadwar app will also be available through the Google Play Store soon, according toPuri Sub Collector Bhavataran Sahu, who is the Ex-Officio Convener-cum-Secretary of the Swargdwar Seva Samity.
