Berhampur: Kabiraj Naik, a well-known weaver of ‘Bomkei Pata’ of Chikiti under Patrapur block of Ganjam district died in a road accident.
The accident took place when Kabiraj was returning home and a bike rider hit his two-wheeler. The locals took him to Patrapur Community Health Centre (CHC) where doctors declared him brought dead. Jarada police handed over the body to his family members after post-mortem.
Kabiraj was awarded by different organisations for his weaving skills at national and state level since last three decades.
