Well-Marked Low Pressure To Trigger Heavy Rainfall In 12 Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain is likely to lash 12 districts of Odisha till July 31, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Wednesday.

In a mid-day bulletin, the IMD said that the well-marked low-pressure area over coastal Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal with the associated cyclonic circulation is likely to move westwards across West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar during the next 48 hours.

Under its influence, there will be heavy rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places in most parts of Odisha from Wednesday afternoon and it will continue till July 31.

The IMD has issued yellow warning for the following districts:

July 28
Heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.

Heavy rainfall at one or two places in Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Sambalpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Dhenkanal and Cuttack.

July 29
Heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places in Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
