Puri: Shankaracharya of the Gobardhan Peeth Swami Nischalalanda Saraswati Maharaj on Sunday expressed resentment over Supreme Court not accepting petitions, seeking partial modification in its earlier order on the ensuing Rath Yatra in Puri.
“The apex court could have voluntarily accepted the petitions on June 20. While the court remains open during the vacation period to hear important cases, non-acceptance of the petitions by the apex court indicates a well-orchestrated move to cancel Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath,” he pointed out.
