Sundargarh: Vigilance sleuths of Rourkela division on Friday arrested Junior Engineer (JE) of WESCO Subdega section, Jasobanta Narayan Deo, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.
According to sources, he had demanded the bribe from one Sanjib Dungdung of Mansidpada village under Talsara police limits in the district to install a new transformer in the village. The old transformer was not functioning since April.
The entire bribe money was recovered from Deo
Raids are currently being conducted in his office chamber and rented residential house in Sundargarh town.
