Western Disturbance Likely To Trigger Rain In Odisha Again; Check IMD Forecast

Bhubaneswar: While there will be no major change in the day temperature in Odisha during the next four to five days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday forecast rain for several districts for two days from March 15.

While dry weather will prevail across the state for next three days, rain is likely to resume at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Malkangiri and Rayagada on March 15 under the influence of western disturbance, which will become more active.

Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri may experience rain during the subsequent 24 hours. The MeT office has also issued yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning at Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur and Dhenkanal during this period, the midday bulletin said.

The weatherman further said that the day temperature in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack is likely to drop to 31-32 degree Celsius from March 15. On Saturday, Malkangiri was the hottest place in Odisha at 38 degree Celsius. Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 36.3 degree Celsius and 35.6 degree Celsius respectively.
