Bargarh: With Delhi Police giving permission to farmers’ tractor rally on Republic Day, farmers from western Odisha have decided to take part in the rally to express their solidarity with the cause.
At a convention held here on Saturday, representatives of farmers’ organisations from 10 western Odisha districts opposed the three controversial farm laws of the Central government. They also took out a rally in support of the Delhi agitation.
It was decided at the convention that 50 farmers from western Odisha will take part in the tractor rally to be held in New Delhi on January 26, sources said.
Earlier on the day, while giving permission to the tractor rally, Delhi Police said the farmers can enter Delhi and travel a distance up to 100 km on each route.
