Whale Carcass Washed Ashore In Odisha’s Puri

Puri: The carcass of a 25-foot-long whale was washed ashore Nandanandi Jangyadanda beach near Sanapatna village under Satapada forest range in Puri district on Thursday.

Some fishermen spotted the carcass on the beach this morning and informed the Forest Department officials.

A six-member team led by Satapada Ranger Manas Ranjan Mohapatra then reached the spot. The postmortem will be carried out the following day.
