Mumbai: Businessman Raj Kundra, the husband of actress Shilpa Shetty was involved in the streaming of pornographic videos through an app called “Hot Shots”, the Mumbai Police told a court on Tuesday. Kundra was arrested on Monday and sent to police custody till Friday in the scandal involving the production of porn films.
“Hot Shots” has now been removed from mobile platforms and both Apple and Google have removed the app due to pornographic content. According to police, they found proof including clips from Kundra’s office.
“We found agreement papers, emails, accounts WhatsApp chats and pornographic clips from his office during the search,” Milind Bharambe, Joint Commissioner of Mumbai Police, told reporters.

Copies of the app’s Android Application Package (APK) available on various platforms suggest that the app’s services were not limited to streaming on-demand films and web series. The description of the app’s latest version offered “HD videos & short movies with unmatched exposure” and promised “private content from hot photoshoots, short movies, and experience of the lifestyle of celebrities from all over the world”. The app also promoted services like live communication with “some of the hottest models around the world”. The original content was accessible for paying subscriber-only, India Today reported. Some old posts on social media suggest that the app also hosted a “Miss Hot Shots contest 2019” where users could vote for their favourite contestants, the report added.
