Mumbai: Actor Sumeet Raghavan, known for playing lead characters in popular shows like ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’, ‘Wagle Ki Duniya’ and ‘Badi Door Se Aaye Hain’, has also worked with the biggest stars of Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar.
Having worked with these Bollywood biggies, Sumeet has learnt their secret mantra of success in the industry.
“The difference is in working with renowned stars such as Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. I’ve worked alongside Nana Patekar and Madhuri Dixit on a Marathi film called Bucket List. You’ll be blown away by their passion for work. They do not take anything for granted. I’ve seen Nana Patekar tirelessly working on screenplays, even writing dialogues in his own handwriting,” Sumeet was quoted as saying by PinkVilla.
“He’d carry a book of handwritten scenes and repeat lines like it was second nature. As I questioned why he did this, he explained that as he writes, the character percolates inside him and becomes a part of him. Akshay is also committed to taking things to the next level. This is what impresses me: their approach to work is like worship. I believe in the same ethics: hunger and desire are necessary. If you are happy, you will lose drive. You should always be hungry for excellent things, learning, and development,” he added.
“Anything you do is for the future, so don’t live in the present. Make something that will be remembered 100 years from now. That’s what I strive for.”
Sumeet has worked with SRK in ‘My Name Is Khan’ and with Akshay Kumar in ‘Holiday’.
He was last seen in the popular sitcom ‘Wagle Ki Duniya- Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey’, which went off air last month.
