Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan turned family cook during the coronavirus-induced lockdown, his wife Gauri revealed.
Gauri, an interior designer, said that they were too scared to order food from restaurants and it was Shah Rukh who cooked mouth-watering dishes for the family.
“During this lockdown, we were initially scared to even order any food from outside. So ‘ghar ka khana’ is made by Shah Rukh himself and we are enjoying it. He loves cooking and I enjoy eating,” Gauri said in an interview to NDTV.
The entire family — Shah Rukh, Gauri and their three kids Aryan, Suhana and AbRam – has been living in their Mumbai home, Mannat, since the pandemic broke in March.
Talking about her children, Gauri informed that Aryan has completed his filmmaking course at the University of Southern California and has been watching loads of movies at home, while Suhana is busy with online classes at the University of New York. “AbRam is back to school… something very new. It was initially quite hard on the kids at his age. But he is coping well. Spending a lot of time with the family and all of us together,” Gauri added.
Cooking apart, Shah Rukh shot a few videos and commercials while being confined to home. He also sang a song with son AbRam as part of the iForIndia concert.
Shah Rukh’s last released film was Zero in 2018, with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif being her co-stars. It was a flop at the box-office.
