Mumbai: Varun Dhawan experienced a fan boy moment on Saturday.
The actor and his wife Natasha Dalal were at Mumbai international airport, waiting for a flight, when they bumped into Team India cricketers at the lounge.
The KL Rahul-led squad was set to leave for the tour of Zimbabwe, while Varun and Natasha were to fly out for a holiday.
Varun’s excitement was evident in his post in Instagram, where shared pictures of his interaction with the cricketers.
“At 4 in the morning I was like a boy in a candy shop. Got very excited to meet and chat with our men in blue. About their upcoming tour. Also @SDhawan25 asked me a couple of riddles,” Varun wrote alongside the pictures.
In the group picture, Varun and Natasha are seen posing with team members including Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rahul Tripathi, Shikhar Dhawan, Mohammed Siraj, Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Prasidh Krishna and Shubman Gill.
He also posted a picture with Shikhar, with whom he shares his surname, and wrote: “Dhawans #theones.”
Varun recently returned from a 45-day overseas shoot of his upcoming film ‘Bawaal’.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, with the story penned by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, ‘Bawaal’ stars Janhvi Kapoor opposite Varun. It’s scheduled to release in theatres on April 7, 2023.
Varun’s ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’ was released in theatres in June and on OTT last month.
