Mumbai: Kapil Sharma is a name to reckon with in the entertainment industry.
Known as the ‘comedy king’, he hosts one of India’s most popular TV shows – The Kapil Sharma Show.
Presently, the 41-year-old Kapil is getting rave reviews for his performance in Nandita Das-directed film ‘Zwigato’, which portrays the struggles of a food-delivery boy and his family.
Kapil’s life, too, has not been a bed of roses. He had to struggle hard to reach where he is now.
Asked how he identified with the character in ‘Zwigato’, Kapil recalled his days of struggle and hardship.
“A lot of people ask me how I got into this character.. I tell them I haven’t got out of it yet! Seriously, because I too have done a lot of odd jobs in the past… I worked in Coca-Cola and then in STD PCO, which no longer exists as everyone uses mobile phones, in a garment factory… I have worked here and there for pocket money. I liked earning for myself for my own pocket money. So when I heard this story I could connect to it,” Kapil said in an interview with Aaj Tak.
