Balasore: She was three-month pregnant when one fine day her husband went missing. The search took her to his village, Natapada in Odisha’s Balasore district. And the information she gathered there, cut the ground from under her feet.
Her husband, identified as Narendra Bidanta, was a married man with a six-year-old son.
According to sources, the woman met him in Mumbai where he was working for a private firm. They fell in love and decided to tie the knot. The wedding took place at a Shiva temple in Rayagada in the presence of her family.
The shock notwithstanding, she lodged a complaint against Narendra with the Khaira police with the help of some local social workers and women organisations.
He has been detained for questioning and further investigation is underway.
