Mumbai: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan fans were disappointed after beauty brand L’Oréal Paris shared a Cannes-themed reel that did not feature the actress, despite her long-standing association with the brand and the Cannes Film Festival.
Quick to notice Aishwarya’s absence from the reel, social media users flooded the comments section with questions asking why one of the festival’s most iconic faces was missing from the video.
Shared on Sunday, the video showcased the iconic Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, with giant posters of actresses from around the world associated with the brand being unveiled from the hotel’s terrace.
Alia Bhatt was on display, but Aishwarya was nowhere to be seen.
A fan wrote, “@lorealparis Everyone in the comments are asking for @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb where is her poster? New faces may come but you Cant Replace the OG Aishwarya Even you know her Worth!”
Another commented, “@lorealparis Where is Aishwarya’s poster?”
One person expressed, “Where is Queen of Cannes @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb What happened @lorealparis did you forget the way she rised (sic) your brand in India”.
The brand is yet to comment on the issue.
