Chilika: A giant whirlwind over Chilika lake triggered panic among residents on Sunday afternoon.
According to witnesses, the lake water accompanied by strong wind moved up in a swirling motion up towards the sky near a jetty between Kalijai and Jatianasi. It lasted for 15 minutes with many locals capturing the phenomenon on their cell phones.
Fortunately, no loss was reported due to the whirlwind.
