Mumbai: With ex-flames Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar set to reunite in ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, the actress opened up about her friendship and reunion with ex-boyfriend.
Talking about Akshay and apparent fallout with Shilpa Shetty on Zoom podcast, Raveena shared, “I think we have all become friends. See, we all were young. We are all in the same industry. Who has not gone through all those things? Who has not gone through link-ups, breakups, relationships, who’s not? Today Akshay and I are friends, Shilpa and I are friends. We’r
e all friends. We’ve moved on. We’re so happy for our families, we’re so happy for our children. Akshay and I have just done Welcome 3 and we’ve enjoyed with our whole team, we have laughed through the film, such a funny film. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working together again. Listen, you have to grow up, mature. We’re all happy for each other.”
The actress added, “We were always very good friends, Akki and me. Always very good friends.”
Back in the 90s, Raveena and Akshay’s love life was the talk of the town.
However, the couple parted ways, leading to rumours of Raveena’s fallout with Shilpa following an alleged love triangle.
Years later, the three are happily married and well settled in their respective lives.
Raveena and Akshay’s ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, also stars Disha Patani, Suniel Shetty, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rajpal Yadav and Arshad Warsi.
The film is slated to hit theatres on June 26.
