Mumbai: The makers of ‘King’ will soon announce the leading lady opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
While there has been no official confirmation from the makers side, a Pinkvilla report stated that either Deepika Padukone or Kareena Kapoor may be roped in to play a specific character opposite Shah Rukh.
Both actresses have shared screen space with Shah Rukh and delivered hits.
Deepika made her Bollywood debut with ‘Om Shanti Om’, alongside SRK. The actors have also worked together in superhit films like ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Pathaan’, and ‘Jawan’.
On the other hand, Kareena has worked with Shah Rukh in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Ashoka’, ‘Don’ and ‘RaOne’.
Siddharth Anand’s ‘King’ is a highly-anticipated movie as Shah Rukh will be sharing screen with daughter Suhana Khan for the first time.
The film is slated for release in 2026.
