WHO Team To Arrive In China For Study Of Coronavirus Origin

New Delhi: A World Health (WHO) team will be visiting China on Thursday to investigate the origins of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Chinese state-run media outlet CGTN reported that experts from WHO will conduct a field visit to China on January 14, India Today reported.

It is still not clear whether the WHO team would be traveling to Wuhan.

Beijing had been delayed granting permission to the 10-member team of experts.

On January 9, Zeng Yixin, the deputy head of the National Health Commission (NHC) told the media that the exact time of the team’s arrival in Wuhan was still under negotiations, the report added.

China and the World Health Organization (WHO) have reached a consensus on specific arrangements of the investigation with four video conferences, Zeng was quoted as saying in the report.
