Mumbai: Everyone was looking for the star of the show. Ranbir Kapoor did turn up for the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Shamshera’ on Thursday, but he was late.
So what delayed him?
Well, he landed up at the wrong venue and then, his car got involved in a minor accident.
Ranbir, wearing a short black kurta and denims, paired with a black jacket, explained his ordeal on arriving at the IMAX Inorbit Mall.
In a video shared by Viral Bhayani on Instagram, Ranbir says: “My driver first took me to the Infinity Mall, we were in the basement parking but there was no one… so we got late. As soon as we came out of the mall, my car got hit by someone and the glass broke. (Director) Karan (Sharma) says breaking of a glass is auspicious.”
Fans took to social media to express their concern and thanked God he was fine.
Ranbir plays a dacoit-turned-freedom fighter in ‘Shamshera’ with Sanjay Dutt being the antagonist.
The Yash Raj Films’ movie, set in the 19th century, also stars Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Ashutosh Rana.
Announced in May 2018, Shamshera will hit theatres on July 22. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
