Why Did Twitter Remove Blue Tick From MS Dhoni’s Account?

New Delhi: Twitter on Friday removed the blue tick from former cricket captain MS Dhoni’s official account. Blue ticks are put on verified accounts by Twitter.

Despite having millions of followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, Dhoni is not an active user of social media and hardly posts anything.
Mahi has 8.2 million followers on Twitter, over 26 million on Facebook, and a whopping 34.5 million on Instagram. Dhoni hardly posts anything on social media which may be the reason why his blue tick from Twitter was removed.

Dhoni’s last tweeted on January 8 this year, and also posted the same on Instagram. He was last active on Facebook on April 30.

MS Dhoni, who retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020, now only plays in the Indian Premier League and will be back in action when the UAE leg of IPL resumes in September.
