Dharwad: A 45-year-old doctor, Dr Kiran Honannavar, was allegedly murdered by his wife, Priyanka, according to reports. The incident took place inside their apartment in Karnataka’s Dharwad on Wednesday. Their 8-year-old son was also stabbed, repor
ted India Today. The child is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
The police was informed by the neighbours. According to the report, a video from the crime scene shows the wife scrolling through her phone with the bodies by her side.
Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner N Shashikumar rushed to the crime spot and took the child to the hospital. When family members visited the flat on Wednesday evening after they got no response from the deceased doctor, they found the bodies and the accused was still scrolling phone.
Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner N Shashikumar said Dr Kiran Honannavar’s wife Priyanka Kattanahalli was also an MBBS graduate with an MS in Ophthalmology.
Cops said they were yet to find out when was the child attacked. They also said that the police were trying to establish when the incident took place and the cause or motive behind it.
