Lucknow: Pushpa Prakash, the wife of the IPS officer, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Chandra Prakash who is part of the three-member SIT formed by Uttar Pradesh government to probe the alleged gang-rape and death of a 19-year-old girl Boolgarhi village in Hathras, died by suicide at her home in the capital city Lucknow, India Today reported.
Pushpa, 36, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her home in Lucknow’s Sushant Golf City area around 11 am on Saturday. She was rushed her to Lohia hospital where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
No suicide note was recovered from the spot, DCP (east zone) Charu was quoted as saying by India Today.
