New Delhi: Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi has decided to defend Punjab and warned actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut of exposing her if she continues berating his home state.

Talking to a news channel, Jassi commented in Punjabi, “I am forced to say this now because she has been targeting Punjab too much. She once got drunk with me and another female friend in my car in Delhi and she had no control over herself. The amount of alcohol and drugs she has consumed, I don’t think anyone else has. If she does not stop talking about Punjab, then I’ll expose all her stories.”

In a recent public rally in Himachal Pradesh, Kangana compared Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, saying the use of drugs and alcohol culture is rampant in Punjab, adding that people in the neighbouring state are aggressive and violent. She advised people in her state not to follow them.

“No one should take Kangana seriously. She is a mental case. Hil gayi hai bilkul. Mansik santulan theek nahi hai. It is a big threat to the nation that such idiotic people go and sit in Parliament and take decisions for the country,” Jassi added.

Kangana has yet to respond to Jassi’s comments.

Notably, Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ hit a roadblock, with the sensor board not approving the release after several Sikh organisations raised objections, alleging that the film portrays the community negatively.  In the latest development, the producers of the film have agreed to make necessary cuts and edits to ensure the film gets released at the earliest.
