Washington: United States President Joe Biden on Tuesday said that there will be around 600 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines by the end of July. This will be enough to vaccinate all Americans.
“By the end of July we’ll have 600 million doses, enough to vaccinate every American,” said Biden at a CNN town hall meeting.
Moderna and Pfizer are expected to deliver 300 million doses each to the US government by the end of July.
Biden said that he expects life to get back to normal by “next Christmas”. The President is backing vaccinations for teachers so that children can return to schools early.
“A year from now I think that there will be significantly fewer people that have to be socially distanced, have to wear a mask,” Biden added.
